Problems Today
Computers and digital media contain a significant amount of information that investigators & operators must be able to quickly analyze to determine if they can reveal critical information or not. The current forensic approach is too cumbersome and requires seizing the computer and performing a thorough analysis by a forensic examiner back in a forensic laboratory; this may take days, weeks or months. This approach worked 10 years ago when hard drives were 1GB but has serious drawbacks in today world of 200GB hard drives and a wealth of multimedia communication. This has also led to the severe backlogs that we face today.

ADF Solutions taps into the widely unused resource that investigators & operators represent by equipping them with tools to provide immediate, actionable intelligence during field investigations of computers. These tools can identify conclusive evidence for on-site review in a matter of minutes, not days, weeks or months. In addition, the tools provide a framework for forensic examiners and intelligence analysts to control the triage and data extraction process. .      

Proven Solutions
Freeware tools or tools funded by government grants have proven to have minimal gain for investigators & operators when conducting on-site investigations of computers.  These tools require extensive technical knowledge and are generally not supported or upgraded in the mid to long-term.
