ICS LinkMASSter2 Forensic

The LinkMASSter II is High Speed Forensic Data Acquisition device that provides the tools necessary to seize data from a Suspect’s unopened Notebook or PC using the FireWire 1394A/B or USB 1.0/2.0 interface.

The LinkMASSter II is High Speed Forensic Data Acquisition device that provides the tools necessary to seize data from a Suspect’s unopened Notebook or PC using the FireWire 1384A/B or USB 1.0/2.0 interface. The device supports the MD5, CRC32 or SHA1 hashing methods during data capture, ensuring that the transferred data is an exact replica of the Suspect’s data without modification. Seize data from P-ATA, S-ATA, SCSI or Notebook drives. Data transfer rates can exceed 3GB/min. Multiple Capture modes are available. The device also provides functions to sanitize drives.

FireWire 1394B and USB 2.0 Interface: The LinkMASSter-II supports capturing data from an unopened computer through the high speed FireWire 1394B and USB 2.0 interface.
MD5 and CRC32 and SHA1 Hashing: MD5, CRC32 or SHA1 hashing generation can be performed during data capture, ensuring that the transferred data is an exact replica of the Suspect’s data without modification.
Forensic Toolkit Graphical User Interface: The ICS proprietary LinkMASSter-II Forensic Toolkit application provides all the tools necessary to perform high speed Forensic data seizure operations. The interface runs on the Windows XP Professional platform.
High Speed Operation: Data transfer rates can exceed 3GB/min.
Multiple Capture Methods: Seize in a Forensic sector-by-sector format method or using a segmented file format method (Linux-DD). The Linux-DD capture method allows seizing multiple images to one Evidence drive. Capture only allocated data using the ICS proprietary “Intelligent Copy” method, which supports Windows FAT-16, FAT-32 and NTFS file systems.
Write Protection: Suspect’s data is write protected by the LinkMASSter II Forensic Toolkit application.
Multiple Media Support: Supports data transfer between P-ATA, S-ATA and SCSI hard disk drives. Built in Standard 2.5" interface also supports capturing data to Notebook drives.
WipeOut: Sanitize drives at speeds greater than 3GB/min.
Audit Trail and Logs: Detail operational event log information can be printed or saved.
